It is never too early (or late) to start building your resume and participating in enrichment activities that will help you stand out to prospective colleges and/or employers. Don’t let summer slip away without taking advantage of what is available to you.
No matter what direction you are looking at going into there is an opportunity available to you in the Twin Cities area. Here are some ideas that you can look into:
Private School Enrichment:
There are many enrichment opportunities available at private institutions across the state. The Minnesota Private College Council has a variety of Minnesota Private College Summer Enrichment Opportunities available to students this summer.
Arts, Communications, and Information Systems:
Are you interested in pursuing a career in the technology industry? If so, take a look at the opportunities below:
Girls Who Code is going to be held virtually this summer and is open to girls who are rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders.
IT Tech Camps at Macalester is going to be held virtually this summer and is geared towards students who are interested in going into coding, game development, robotics, and design.
Business, Management, and Administration:
Are you looking to run your own business or be the person that helps make a business successful? If you are interested in this path you may want to check into the following summer activity:
Minnesota Business Venture Camp is a four-day business and career development summer camp. Students will learn business, leadership, and financial literacy skills.

Minnesota Aviation Career Information Days is offering students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of aviation careers through hands-on projects, tours, and flight experience.
High School Artificial Intelligence + Social Good Program by MIT and Stanford Graduates provides guidance on initiating artificial intelligence projects, pursuing artificial intelligence ventures, and preparing for college.
Bethel University Biochemistry Research Camp is designed for young women who have finished 10th or 11th grade and would like to build their skills and confidence in their laboratory experiences.
